the packaging

cranberry canneberge bio valebio
Cranberries are fragile. Therefore, we made a packaging capable of protecting them from losing its properties during its preservation. Since Cranberries are sensitive to the light and its variations, we chose a packaging that would protect them from the external environment. In order to do this, a protective food film is put into the packaging so the light cannot penetrate.

the Origin of the cranberry

cranberry culture Cranberries are native from North America. It has always been consumed by American Indians (Native Americans) who gathered the berries from August to November and kept them in peat moss. The fruit was part of the essential ingredients for making pemmican, a traditional American Indian dish made of dried meat, fat and dried fruit.

Cranberries then grew wildly. However, some American Indians were in trade. They were gathering wild fruits and sell them on the market. In 1816 appeared the first commercial exploitation in Massachusetts. The Cranberry is now cultivated in the North of the United States and in Canada.
